More Makeup Tips and tricks
Makeup primers are just that. They prime your skin before adding any other makeup. Foundation primers even out skin tone, shrink pores and visible lines and absorb oil which makes makeup stay hours longer then if not wearing a foundation primer. Primers should be applied to a clean face, before adding any other makeup. Some are moisturizing enough for you to skip the moisturizing step.
Foundation primers come in two types generally: clear and tinted/corrective. Colored primers are becoming quite popular. These corrective foundation primers usually come in yellow, green and lavender. And correct skin flaws such as redness, sallow complexions and can brighten a dull face. Here's what each corrective primer can do:
Lavender Primer: Used to normalize yellow-colored skin imperfections such as sallow complexions and yellow bruises. It can also help conceal very dark under-eye circles and dark spots on bronze skin tones.
Green Primer: Used to neutralize red tones on the skin. Use this for covering blemishes, zits, red blotches, rosacea, port-wine stains
Yellow Primer: Also known as Apricot in color, used to conceal bluish bruises, under-eye circles and mild red tones on the face.
Warms skin & counteracts discoloration.
